Coronel, Antonio Franco, 1817-1894

Biography Coronel, born in Mexico City in 1817, came to California with his father, Ignacio Coronel in 1834, as a member of the Hijar-Padres colony. The family settled in Los Angeles. where Coronel soon became prominent in local affairs, holding many public offices, including those of Juez de Paz, inspector of missions and peace commissioner.
